Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and handle baking equipment with proficiency.
- Create pastries, baked goods, and confections following designated recipes.
- Skillfully decorate pastries and desserts to ensure appealing and tasteful presentation.
- Collaborate with customers to plan and customize desserts and pastries for special occasions.
- Monitor baking ingredient inventory and order supplies within budgetary guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations within the pastry section.
Qualifications:
- Possess a certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or a related field.
- Have at least three years of experience in the food industry as a Pastry Cook, Baker, or in a relevant role.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.
- Showcase creative ability and artistic skills in cake decoration and dessert presentation.
- Display keen attention to detail in all aspects of pastry preparation.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and evenings when required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
