What Would You Do? The right candidate will be an empowered leader that is is responsible for the productive, efficient, and safe operation of the warehouse. This position is responsible for overseeing and assisting in the efficient receiving/shipping and storage of materials and maintains a working knowledge of manual material handling methods. This position manages the routing, timing, and effectiveness of deliveries. They are responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.
What will you be responsible for?
- Oversees daily warehouse operations including but not limited to shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading and provides coaching and training for these responsibilities.
- Continuously monitors the workload to identify potential problems and manages these problems to achieve a successful outcome.
- Follows quality control procedures to monitor work, make corrections, and provide feedback.
- Works closely with Parts Director to resolve customer complaints and maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
- Enforces standard operating procedures and safety policies, procedures, and rules.
- Ensures attention to detail when inspecting all deliveries for damage or incorrect products.
- Ensures all orders are put away all in their specific destinations based on part type and style and that staff prepare orders for shipment from the dealership.
- Verifies correct inventory counts on all products.
- Correctly counts and checks tags and parts in bins on perpetual inventories.
- Conduct progressive and complete inventories as assigned by company.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Needed Education & Experience to be successful
- High Scholl Diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of automotive parts experience is required.
- 5+ years of experience in a warehouse supervisor role, within a parts department is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Able to become forklift certified and to operate a forklift.
