Parts Managers motivate and inspire their team to go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control.
As a Parts Manager, you will:- Successfully recruit, hire, manage and develop department employee performance that result in an environment of teamwork, high productivity, and high morale
- Develop and execute employee development plans through timely evaluation, coaching, training, and development activities in ways that increase their performance
- Communicate, enforce and monitor effective processes to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Drive actions that will help achieve the annual Parts Department goals and budget.
- Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures
- Promote and merchandise parts, attachments and accessories in conjunction with other store locations
- Submit all parts warranty, core returns and damage claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit
- Maximize use of all order discount programs to achieve management stock order goals
- Ensure all department tools, equipment and storage areas are in good working order and organized.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 1-year experience in Parts Department operations (minimum)
- Experience and proven success in building and leading teams
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications and internet functions
- Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends
- 2-year degree with business emphasis preferred

- Moderate physical activity required by moving and positioning objects up to 50 pounds or more occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
