Job Summary:
The Parts Counter Person at Jones Honda will be a member of the auto parts team, providing exceptional sales and customer support to our customers in the purchasing and returning of auto parts products. This individual must have knowledge of the automotive industry, and knowledge of Jones Honda products. The Parts Counter Person strives for unbeatable customer satisfaction in any part of our operation.
Hours:
- Monday-Friday 7:15 AM-5:00 PM
- Every third Saturday 7:45 AM-4:00 PM.
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License required.
- Adept at using a computer, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and DMS software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service, communication and sales skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making ability.
- Parts Counter and Inventory Experience preferred.
- Ability to lift objects of up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers coming to the Parts Counter, assess the customer’s needs, and offer alternatives to meet their needs.
- Demonstrate possession of advanced knowledge of OEM part numbers, descriptions, and product features.
- Assist with delivery driving for the dealership as needed.
- Offer technical advice on product capabilities and suggest alternatives.
- Input orders for automobile parts in the computer system.
- Interact with parts warehouse team when necessary.
- Match up returned parts to the original parts and make sure they are in working order.
- Ensure that any warranties made to clients are fulfilled.
- Stock Inventory such as parts, cases of oil, tires etc.
- Keep the Parts Counters organized, while maintaining inventory counts
- Maintain department such as sweeping, trash, cardboard etc.
