A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PARTS ASSOCIATE
As a Parts Associate, your day focuses on efficiently supporting internal and external customers with their parts needs. You promptly locate the correct parts, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. Maintaining stocking levels and researching parts pricing and labor estimates are essential tasks you handle to ensure our inventory remains robust and competitive. You actively identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction by identifying new parts and part categories that should be added to our offerings. Interaction with customers is a key aspect of your role, and you make it a point to ensure their experience with the department and the store is nothing short of excellent. Following up with service technicians to ensure timely repairs is also part of your daily routine. Communication between the Service Supervisor and the Parts department is vital to ensure parts are ordered and received promptly. Additionally, you contribute to inventory management by assisting in cycle counting and ordering, receiving, pricing, and stocking parts in the service area. Parts Associates also prioritize safety standards while completing assigned tasks efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven communication skills, strong computer skills, and the ability to learn new software
- Prior knowledge of tools and equipment
- Customer service skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Sit, stand, and walk for the duration of your shift
- Push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Look at a computer screen for extended periods of time
