Shannahan Crane & Hoist, LLC has an opening for a Parts Coordinator. Our primary company mission is to install, inspect, troubleshoot and repair overhead crane and hoisting equipment within our customer's facilities. Shannahan Crane & Hoist has two locations in St. Louis, MO and Kansas City, KS- this position will service customers within the Kansas City and St. Louis area. Position Summary:

The Part Coordinator needs to perform well under pressure and understand the fluctuating needs for various replacement parts to excel in the role. They're responsible for keeping the business well-stocked and keeping customers happy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with supply chains to ensure the timely arrival of necessary parts
• Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels
• Monitoring the current parts inventory
• Pricing parts to maintain profitability
• Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them
• Helping customers find and purchase the correct parts
• Overseeing special orders
• Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs

Skills and Knowledge:

• Sales and customer service skills if working with the general public
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory, pricing and estimates
• Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment
• Leadership skills to keep the parts department running smoothly
• Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts

Education:

• 2-3 years' experience in the industry
• High school diploma or GED
• Associates or bachelors degree in related field preferred
