Responsibilities
- Provide excellent communication and high level of service to co-workers, customers, and vendors.
- Work with Collision Production Advisors to ensure efficient cycle times are being met.
- Order all necessary parts following repair order and shop guidelines
- The Parts Advisor increases the efficiency of the shop by ensuring ordered parts are available and in acceptable condition at estimated time.
- Receive/Check in incoming parts in a timely manner. Parts must be received, tagged with RO number, and binned same day as delivery
- Match all items received against invoice to ensure correct part number and quantities were received. Any discrepancies need to be addressed with proper vendor and noted in CCC same day as delivery.
- Mirror match parts and inspect for damage
- Any items received in damaged or incorrect need to be addressed with proper vendor and noted in car beat same day as delivery.
- Input received parts on RO and CCC verifying that list prices match the estimate, also updating ETA on any backordered parts.
- Scan parts invoices into CCC work file.
- Update Production Advisors of any outstanding or backordered parts that may cause delay in cycle time or delivery of vehicle.
- Hot shot parts pickup when needed
- Process parts returns daily utilizing CCC credit memo work file (printing two copies one for vendor and one for our record to ensure credit is received)
- Follow up with vendors weekly for any credits not yet received
- Maintain clean work area
- Ensure that parts bins are organized with RO tags facing outward daily
Qualifications
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Have experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
- Are able to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Have strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
