Title: Part Time Teller

Salary $20.73/hour

Buffalo Metropolitan Federal Credit Union is seeking a Part Time Teller (May work 29.50 hours or less each week). Schedule requires employee to have open availability and can work every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Bilingual (Spanish / English) applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Provide outstanding member service, in a professional and friendly manner, to all new and existing members while fulfilling transactions needs.
• Balance currency, coin, and checks in drawer at ends of shifts. Process daily TCR transactions.
• Ability to retain information to provide the highest quality support to account holders (e.g., eligibility to join, type of accounts and opening process, loan disclaimers and applying process, interest rates, etc.)
• Problem -solve and resolve member issues in a timely manner.
• Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure and deliver substantial customer service.
• Ability to provide information that is not directly requested from account holders in order to cross sell the Credit Union’s products/services.
• Ability to identify when you cannot resolve an issue and know when to see your immediate Supervisor.
• Seek development opportunities for professional growth by taking advantage of ongoing coaching, job shadowing , mentoring, and training opportunities.
• Applicants with prior banking or credit union experience strongly encouraged to apply.
• Education should include a High School Diploma or GED minimum.
• Go the "Extra Mile" to build trust relationships, member loyalty and member satisfaction.

Duties:

• Actively listen to account holders and assist them with their requests (e.g. deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account questions, obtaining copies of statements, ordering checks, issue debit cards, etc.).
• Process cash, check, and payment transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a friendly, positive attitude. Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines. Process daily TCR transactions
• Verify and update account holder information.
• Read internal correspondence such as emails and memos daily to remain up to date about Credit Union polices/procedures.
• Perform tasks outside of teller duties (e.g., covering clerk/operator and member support/receptionist)
