Class Summary
This position pays $32.00 per hour, up to 29 hours per week. This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,560 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.
Job DescriptionThe position will be responsible for facilitating a safe working environment for the Department of Water Resources employees. Job duties will include conducting compliance evaluations of equipment, facilities, and work in progress to ensure that safety and health standards are being followed. Job responsibilities will also include preparing technical reports; reviewing designs and plans of facilities for safety issues; and developing safety programs.
Grade
The grade for this position is 97.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Valid Driver's License from state of residency.
