JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Family and Community Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Part-Time position for a Penn State College of IST student that is interested in working with the Pennsylvania AHEC Program. Pennsylvania AHEC is a state/federally funded statewide infrastructure, that consists of a Program Office (that is us at Penn State) and 7, independent non-profit Centers, spread across Pennsylvania. Our core mission is to recruit, train and retain health professionals in rural and underserved areas. As our program has grown, we have realized a massive need for more programing and development through Salesforce our CRM. The tasks are subject but not limited to:
- A project connecting clinics and medical professionals together around the state of Pennsylvania through the build of an application through Salesforce.
- Collecting and connecting critical information for both partners (COM and Clinic)
- Programing information to flow from one system to the other with HR related information
- Programing all information to talk to each other and flow with over 90% automation
We are willing to work with students Summer/Fall/Spring semester(s) as a continued partnership within the Colleges and help students understand nonprofits and the community health professional space at the state and national level. We are flexible with the student’s schedule. REMOTE work with ability to continue through semesters if both parties see fit Starting Date – ASAP End Date -August 2024 (with ability to continue if schedule allows)
The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
