JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Spatial Ecology and Environmental Data Sciences (SEEDS) is seeking a Data Scientist to assist with Remote Sensing Data processing. The Data Scientists will organize, process, and visualize multi-source Remote Sensing Data, including LiDAR, hyperspectral, and multi-spectral Remote Sensing. The main applications are tree species classification and ecological modeling. A Ph.D. degree, or equivalent experience and education, is required. Ability to program using R and Python is required. The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
