Behaivior’s mission is to help Persons Pursuing and In Recovery (PIR’s) adjust their behavior to avert crisis events, stay free from unwanted behaviors, improve wellness and mental health, and reduce care provider and care manager burden by utilizing software, wearables, and AI. We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Data Scientist and software developer professional to be a part of a team that is not only innovative but also driven by social good.

Role

Available for immediate start. As a Senior Data science expert with a focus on AI/ML, with an optional, but preferred proficiency in software development, you’ll be able to help shape the course of the entire platform for the benefit of our customers. Your expertise, guidance, and oversight in AI/machine learning and software products will drive the Behaivior technical team forward. Leveraging your experience will be paramount in making quick decisions, supporting our data engineering and software growth, and ultimately delivering a product that helps care for others. You will work on exciting and challenging projects, including commercial projects, clinical research projects, and more. You will also provide technical research writing support and serve as one of the primary liaisons to team members for technical research assistance. Work ethic and professionalism in this role are crucial in meeting key critical timelines needed to continue rapidly scaling company growth.

Duties

* Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning models, focusing particularly on time series data

* Implement robust ML Ops practices, including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) for ML projects

* Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of deployed machine learning models

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into AI solutions

* Architect and implement scalable and efficient solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

* Mentor and guide interns participating in our intern program, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth

* Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and GCP technologies to drive innovation within the team

* Assist with technical writing and research for grants, white papers, and business planning

* Understand the vision of our complex technology ecosystem

* Dependent on skills: Develop (write) software for the Behaivior mobile and web application

Job Qualifications

* Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

* Proven experience in deploying machine learning models to production environments

* Expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including hands-on experience with GCP services

* Strong programming skills in Python

* Solid understanding of and experience with applied machine-learning concepts and frameworks

* Expert in Machine learning development, ML ops, - the applied side

* Preferred experience in software tools for Mobile

* Preferred experience in software development

* Preferred familiarity with ReactJS, React Query, Typescript, Firebase, and Cordova.

* Understanding of cloud (GCP) infrastructure

* Preferred API development and usage, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Mobile (Responsive) development ideologies

* Generally be able to learn on the fly

*Comfortable with shifting tasks to meet deadlines

Preferred qualifications:

* Proficiency in software development

* Experience in working with wearable or IoT devices and APIs

* Experience in database design and development

* Experience in the healthcare industry and working in a HIPAA-compliant environment

* Experience collaborating with product, engineering, UX, and research team members

* Knowledge of DevOps practices for ML model deployment

* Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration for machine learning projects

* Experience publishing/presenting research

* Extensive R&D background

* Grant writing experience

* Entrepreneurial and leadership experience

* Patent development experience
