General Description
Niagara County Community College (NCCC) is seeking candidates for part-time Nursing Lab Instructors in our Nursing & Allied Health Division.

In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, Niagara County Community College will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening. Typical Work Activities
• Participate in college laboratory
• Evaluate students based on performance in college laboratory settings.
• Maintain rosters and reports of student grades as required by the college.
• Function as liaison between College and off campus sites.
• Provide curricular input through participation in team planning sessions as scheduled.
• Attend professional workshops or continuing education program pertinent to area of expertise or self development.
• Participate in faculty evaluation process
• Participate in faculty competencies, attend professional workshops or continuing education programs pertinent to the area of expertise or self development.
• Compile statistics related to student success in the laboratory setting.
• Other duties as Assigned by the AVP of Nursing & Allied Health
Essential Functions
Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Nursing and enrolled in a Master's of Science Nursing program
• Credentials verifying legal status as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
• Proficient in current technical nursing skills.
Desirable Qualifications
• Previous teaching experience preferably at a community college
• Membership in professional nursing organizations
License(s)/Certifications

NCCC serves the community in two locations within Niagara County, at the Sanborn campus, and at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, located in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls.
NCCC continues to actively expand with the recent opening of its Learning Commons Center, a $25 million dollar project on the Sanborn campus. In just a short period of time, it has become the nucleus of the campus; a place for faculty to collaborate and help students develop critical thinking skills while incorporating state-of-the-art technology and innovative student support services.
