The Department of Performing Arts and Technology offers a variety of technique, ensemble, and lecture courses. The Department has a new major in Music Technology and also provides academic minors in Dance Studies, Dance Performance and Choreography, Music Studies, Music Performance, and Arts Entrepreneurship. Essential Job Duties:

The Department of Performing Arts and Technology at North Carolina State University seeks applications for part-time lecturers in the areas of music theory, aural skills, musicology, and ethnomusicology to provide semester-long instruction in a classroom setting. University classes typically meet 2-3 times weekly for 3 hours. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching courses while grading and mentoring students.
Please note: This position is part-time and is based on need and availability. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates should specify their academic area(s) of expertise.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Requires master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.
