SalaryWe are a medical/surgical specialist's office in a pleasant suburban setting in lower Westchester (convenient to Metro-North).
We typically hire grad students or college students with an interest in health care (typically pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing, etc.), but any background is fine. The work is a blend of hands-on clinical experience and front desk work. Our other employees are typically bright, fun, and hard-working.
All training (for clinical testing as well as administrative work) is done on the job--just bring a strong interest in learning. This is a small office (solo practice), not a big corporate practice, so you will be working closely with patients, other staff members, and the physician / surgeon.
We provide ample clinical hours for pre-requisites for MD / DO, PA, and NP programs, and our former employees have typically entered very good programs. The job title is flexible based on your needs (for your resume, etc.).
In addition to your resume, PLEASE include a few sentences in your own words, introducing yourself and describing your current situation (e.g., recent pre-health college grad, in “Gap Year,” taking evening courses…etc..). Again, any background is fine – we just want to get a sense of your interests and goals.
