Role and Responsibilities
Therapist 1: The basic functions of the Licensed Clinical Therapist are to provide assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and referrals to a broad range of clients, within their scope of practice and training. Individual, couples, family, and group therapy are available forms of treatment provided by Licensed Therapists. Clients can range in age from young children to the elderly. They will participate in providing support of Marriage Workshops in the community. All services are provided in accordance with professional ethics and boundaries set by the state of Hawaii and therapeutic boards.
- Interview clients and provide a biopsychosocial information.
- Treatment Planning and administer therapeutic interventions, and apply therapeutic modalities to assist clients in developing progress towards their therapeutic goals.
- Review results of psychological assessments and evaluations from community providers to assess client needs and diagnosis.
- Responsible for carrying a clinical caseload, either online via secured HIPPA Compliant Telehealth platform or face to face at our group practice, while maintaining required productivity level as detailed by the Clinical Director.
- Attend routine supervision, peer reviews, and case consultations as scheduled by the Clinical Director.
Clinical Supervision
Licensed Clinical Therapists are required to meet with the Clinical Director, on a monthly basis, to review treatment planning and coordination of care for patients. Specific treatment interventions are planned and implemented by the therapist, independently. Situations in which clients are not responding to treatment are to be reported to the Clinical Director. Unethical or illegal issues, and/or any perceived threat to clients or other individuals are to be reported to the Clinical Director immediately. Treatment records may be reviewed at any time.
Preferred Skills
1) Ability to understand and follow directions from supervisors, as well as comply with Private Practice and directives, state laws, licensing rules and regulations, and certification standards that cover Mental Health and clients.
2) Maintain electronic case records that are in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and other federal and state regulations.
Education
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Licensed PH. D, Psy. D, Psychologist, and other therapeutic doctorate degrees from an accredited college
