JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Retrieves dirty linens from housekeeping
- Separates linens by type and pre-treats stains
- Ensures dirty linens are properly washed and dried
- Folds, stacks and organizes clean linen on shelving and linen carts
- Monitors laundry equipment for proper usage and maintenance needs
- Other duties as assigned
- Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
- Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
- Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
- Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
- Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
- Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
- Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
- Follows all company policies and procedures
- Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
- Delivers laundry as specified
- Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights
Requirements:
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
- Ability to work independently
- Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
- Must provide a criminal background check
- Laundry experience is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Team player
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests
- Knowledge of cleanliness standards
DISCOUNTED ROOMS $35 AT ANY HILTON LOCATION
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
