Form of workThe Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for up to twelve part-time Lab Instructor positions for the spring 2024 term, each on a one-term basis, with an anticipated start date of 8 January 2024. These positions are outside of the tenure stream and entail teaching between one and three sections of introductory biology authentic research laboratory courses. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field with some teaching experience. Preferred qualifications are a Master's degree in Biology or education, the publication of post-graduate research work or a Ph.D. in the biological sciences, formal training in teaching, experience as sole instructor of a laboratory course, and experience teaching an authentic research laboratory course. Teaching evening sections may be needed.
