Position Definition: We are seeking a Part-Time IT Help Desk Technician to provide essential technical support and assistance to our students and staff, ensuring smooth and efficient use of technology resources.
The Part-Time IT Help Desk Technician will play a crucial role in assisting employees with their technical needs, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a high level of technology service within the organization. This role is part-time and offers flexibility for those with a passion for IT and strong problem-solving skills.
Salary Range: $20-22 per hour
Supervision Received: Receives overall direction from the Director of Technology
Terms of Employment: 190 days

Examples of Essential Duties:
User Support:
- Respond to Help Desk tickets promptly and provide first-level technical support to employees.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Assist users with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of various devices and applications.
- Create, update, and close support tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prioritize and escalate issues as necessary to ensure a quick resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of all Help Desk interactions.
- Assist in the management of software licenses and updates.
- Collaborate with IT staff for larger software deployment and maintenance projects.
- Provide support for computer hardware and peripherals, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Assist with equipment setup, moves, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with IT staff for larger hardware maintenance and support.
- Educate employees on the effective use of technology tools and applications.
- Participate in group training sessions as needed.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing security measures to protect data and systems.
- Ensure adherence to data security policies and compliance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a technical support role or a strong interest in IT support.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Google Suite, Chromebooks)
