Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to oversee all aspects of inventory management, from receiving and tagging inventory to handling special orders and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our inventory is accurately tracked and readily available to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming inventory shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
- Enter inventory data into the system, including item descriptions, quantities, and SKU numbers.
- Tag and label inventory items according to company standards, ensuring proper identification and tracking.
- Hang and organize inventory in designated storage areas, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Work closely with the purchasing team to follow up on special orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Pull images and gather product information for new inventory items, updating the database as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical counts with system records and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with other tasks related to inventory management as needed
Skills:
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes a plus but we will train the right person
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
