FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited
institution of higher education
OR
An associate degree (or higher)
OR
Item (1)High School Diploma or the equivalent
AND
Item (2) Ready to Work Credentials
* WIN - Copy of WIN Assessment - minimum of Level 3 certification
or
* ParaPro - Copy of passing score (minimum 456) on ParaPro,
the state approved academic assessment
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A complete application packet must be submitted through the online application system prior to the closing date in order to be considered for this position. ALL of the following requirements must be submitted before the posted deadline:
1. Classified Employment Application
NOTE: Reference section requires contact information for three (3) references; reference forms will be emailed directly to the references listed.
2. Copy of qualifying credentials as listed above
a.) High School Diploma or equivalent AND WIN or Parapro
OR
b.) College Degree or Transcript showing 60 or more credit hours
For DCSD Employees: In addition to the application packet, a "Request to Interview for Transfer" form must be submitted for approval (available on the website, in the schools, and at Department of Human Resources).
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the applicant to insure that all required application documents are submitted prior to the posted deadline. An incomplete application will render the applicant ineligible.
CLOSING DATE: UNTIL FILLED
The District reserves the right at any time to extend the deadline without notice and without final consideration of any pending application.

- Provide classroom teaching assistance
- Provide supervision of students at all times
- Maintain a positive classroom environment
- Provide students with daily care (e.g. toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.) as needed or required
- Adhere to district dress code policies
- Maintain required confidentiality in regard to students and school records
- Positively supports all facets of student growth and development
- Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds
- Perform other duties as assigned
