We are seeking an experienced, attentive, motivated, and hard-working groomer for our Salon & Boarding location!
Candidate will be responsible for providing professional grooming services using the knowledge of canine characteristics and grooming styles and techniques. We are looking for a candidate with an excellent work ethic, has is a passionate love for pets, is organized, and enjoys a busy, fast-paced environment.
Candidate must have excellent animal handling skills, along with strong knowledge and understanding in the grooming techniques of all breeds of dogs, experience is welcomed but not necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- *Greet owners and pets as they come in and build a strong bond with them. *Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy. *Must be able to independently perform all grooming tasks including bathing, drying, cleaning ears, brushing, de-matting, breed-standard cuts, teeth brushing, and nail trimming. *Groom and style pets per owners' instructions and/or according to breed standards. *Ability to groom a wide variety of dog breeds keeping current with style trends. *Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting (e.g. cleaning the grooming equipment, sweeping, vacuuming, organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing cages, tubs, etc.) *Monitor the health and well-being of the pets during grooming and keep records of grooming details for each visit.
Requirements:
- *Experience in grooming is preferred. *Formal training or certification is desired but not necessary. *The ability to operate and use all grooming tools and equipment including bathing tubs, brushes, steel combs, barber shears, scissors, clippers, dryers, and bathing products such as perfumed shampoo and soaps. *Must be able to safely handle pets of all sizes and temperaments, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. *Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant, sanitation chemicals, and animal dander.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $14.00 - $16.00/hour.
