This role will report to the Business Development Manager and will be based in Columbus, Ohio.
Position Summary:
For the position of Part-Time Field Sales Technician, ClearCaptions is looking for a caring, customer service-oriented individual with a demonstrable passion for helping people with hearing loss.
This is an in-the-field position that brings the opportunity to individually train our customers in using ClearCaptions equipment and service to effectively enrich their lives.
As a Field Sales Technician for ClearCaptions, you must enjoy working with a variety of people, mostly senior citizens, in their homes. This is a part-time position working 20-25 hours per week for those who enjoy and excel when working independently.
What You Will Do:
- Setup and troubleshoot ClearCaptions' devices at our customer's homes.
- Courteously train customers on how to use ClearCaptions' devices and their features.
- Must provide excellent customer service and adapt to unique needs of individual customers to meet business requirements.
- Assist Business Development Managers with lead generation activities as needed.
- Complete service/repair calls as assigned.
- Accurately maintain customer records in Salesforce.
- Complete required reports and feedback on customer interactions.
- Maintain adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to service customers in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be reliable, organized, and punctual and be flexible in a constantly changing environments.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Basic knowledge of and experience in using a computer. Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
- Must possess a valid driver license and have a clean driving record.
- It is required that you have a licensed and insured vehicle to complete this job.
- Field sales and service experience is a plus.
- Experience working with senior citizens a plus.
Physical Demands:
Primary functions require the ability to communicate over the phone and in person effectively and clearly with individuals suffering from hearing loss. Must use provided headset for audio quality in our call center environment. Physical ability and mobility to regularly stand or sit for prolonged periods of time and use tablet, cell phone and keyboard and monitor requiring close vision and hearing, occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, reach, twist, and grasp, may lift and move equipment/boxes up to 10 pounds.
Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
- Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)
- Keyboarding (70-90%)
- Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone requiring close vision (70-90%)
- May lift or move boxes (up to 10 pounds)
Work Environment:
Work environment is primarily indoors at customer's home, exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions during work, and exposure to hazardous driving and traffic conditions. Travel (approx. 90%).
Compensation: $18 per hour plus incentive plan.
