JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg, School of Humanities, periodically has part-time openings for instructors to teach undergraduate courses in Communication Sciences and Disorders including Introduction to Communication Sciences and Disorders and American Sign Language.
These openings are one semester and non-tenure track with the possibility of reappointment.
Job Duties
  • Part-time instructors typically teach one to three courses per semester.

Successful candidates must be able to work effectively with diverse populations and audiences. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed as the need arises. Requirements and Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Earned M.S., M.A., Ph.D., Au.D., or Ed.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, or a closely related field
  • Teaching and/or clinical experience in one or more of the following fields: American Sign Language, Clinical Phonetics, Anatomy and Physiology, Organic Disorders of Speech and Language, Language Disorders and Clinical Bases of Language Disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Disorders of Articulation and Phonology, Audiology

Preferred Qualifications
  • Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology licensure
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence
