Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
- Provide support to students with autism or other special needs in a classroom setting
- Help students develop literacy skills through guided reading and other literacy activities
- Support the social and emotional development of students by implementing behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with classroom organization, including setting up materials and resources for daily activities
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special needs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively support students' individual needs
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from the lead teacher
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development, including incorporating math concepts into daily activities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
