Part-Time Barback At Mimo Restaurant And Bar

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Part-timeBarback, an exciting opportunity to be part of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville!
This individual will provide support to Mimo Restaurant and Bar, right through the entrance on the first floor of the building. Charm, the ability to make a quick rapport, and expert craftsmanship will make a successful candidate for this role.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Serve guest needs by assisting the Bartender and Lounge Server and completing guest requests
• Clear, clean and set-up tables, chairs, linens, china, glass, and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner

• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards
• Confirm guest orders, including any special needs or requests, from the lounge server using the hotel's point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest's original order
• Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods
• Maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beets, ports, Armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests

• Maintain high level of cleanliness, organization, and stocking at the bar
• Execute same level of food knowledge and sequence of service as restaurant servers
• Ensure each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working a minimum of 1-2 years in Food & Beverage
• Thrive working in a fast paced, and large team environment
• The Barback position may require continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Knowledge of Nashville and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required

• Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort
• Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays shifts
• Ability to carry and balance a tray
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests

• Requires proficiency in the English language
