Parking Garage Attendant

Park Inc Is looking for a Parking Garage Attendant to work at our client location in Blacksburg, VA. This is a part-time position that requites availability on Tuesday and Thursday averaging 15 hours per week.

The Parking Garage Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our customers parking area by directing traffic and collecting parking fees.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Issue access cards.
• Maintain strong working relationship with customer account and contacts at special events by establishing strong customer relations.
• Greet and direct guests in a friendly professional manner.
• Safely guide guests to the appropriate parking areas.
• Sell parking spaces and collect revenue for special events.
• Secure parking area.
• Assist guests with directional information including entrances.
• Perform other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of 1-year previous experience working in a fast paced and dynamic work environment in the hospitality or customer service industry.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer and technical skills including Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects or tasks.
• Detail oriented and able to make sound decisions within assigned deadlines.
• Ability to work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Strong customer service skills with proven positive results.
• Strong sense of urgency; demonstrate stable and punctual work history.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.01 per hour
