Park Security / Host Job Description

Overview:

The Host / Park security is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, staff and property within the park. Responsible for ensuring all rules and safety regulations are being followed by guests throughout the park. Provides guests with answers to questions, concerns, or problems that arise during their shift. The security officer is responsible for daily park operational tasks such as picking up trash, answering calls, greeting guests, and more.

Job Duties:

• Work closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and other department managers to meet the goals and objectives of the resort.
• Resolves guest complaints in a professional, consistent manner.
• Ensures all policies and procedures are being followed by guests in the resort.
• Patrols park premises, via golf cart, to monitor for potential safety and security risks.
• Stays informed of all new rules and regulations of the resort to ensure all are being enforced correctly.
• Ensure the entire closing checklist is completed before leaving the resort.
• Provide visible security presence throughout the park to deter criminal activity and promote a safe and secure environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience/Education/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations.

- Patrol assigned areas and monitor surveillance systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activities

- Conduct regular security checks of the premises to ensure all doors, windows, and gates are properly secured

- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances

- Monitor and control access points, checking identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises

- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner

- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary

- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents

- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment

- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning

Skills:

- Excellent observation skills and a friendly attitude

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations effectively

- Good physical condition with the ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
