Job Summary
- A licensed paramedic experienced in emergency medical services, who is responsible under the direction and supervision of the Emergency Department Physician and Unit manager for providing high quality patient care according to established standards of performance, the philosophy and objectives of Avera McKennan Hospital.
- This position covers all three of Emergency Rooms - Main Campus, Marion Road & Dawley Farm.
Education and/or Experience
- Required to be proficient in all EMS skills and familiar with various EMS training techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- National Registration as an EMT Paramedic required.
- South Dakota License as an EMT-Paramedic required.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule
- Varied 12 hour shifts: 10am - 10:30 pm; 12pm - 12:30 pm, 2pm - 2:30 am; 11am - 11:30 pm
- Every other weekend/holiday and occasional call time
- Full Time; 72hrs/2wks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $20.00 - $28.75 per hour
- Differential pay available
