THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION
Position requires accounting skills and the ability to understand and interpret various lease provisions relating to the landlord and tenant financial obligations under a lease.
Must possess organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, in a time and deadline-driven environment.
Responsible for:
1. Maintaining a calendar of the filing deadline of administrative agencies in Cook and the surrounding counties;
2. Accessing the websites of administrative agencies to obtain current valuations of clients properties;
3. Review of clients files of commercial, rental residential and industrial income producing properties, to ascertain the existence of current financial data (income/expense statements), tenant rental data (Rent Rolls), and required affidavits, which constitute evidence in valuation cases;
4. Initiate correspondence and/or emails to clients to obtain the necessary income statements, tenant rent rolls and required affidavits not in client files;
5. Initiate preparation of appraisal reports for owner-occupied properties;
6. Make preliminary recommendations as to filing over-valuation contests, based on analysis of evidence in files;
7. Prepare briefs with supporting evidence after review of recommendations and further analysis of data/evidence;
8. Timely file Complaints, and completed brief and evidence to the appropriate administrative body;
9. Download and review of administrative determinations in filed valuation cases;
10. Keep client electronic files updated as to filing decisions, administrative results/decisions, status of evidence and client correspondence;
11. Follow up and act on client responses or lack of, to requested evidence, affidavits, and appraisal authorizations, and follow-up with appraisers as to the status of ordered reports; and
12. Occasional miscellaneous research of various websites to obtain information;
Starting salary of $60,000 with increase predicated on performance. This position is challenging, and the work is fast paced. There is a lot of learning, however, you will be taught, and you will not be bored!
