A growing property management company is looking for a legal admin/paralegal to join our team! This position requires a self-starter, strong organizational skills and good knowledge in legal matters and procedures. We are looking for someone that enjoys the responsibility, can take the initiative, appear on the company’s behalf to small claims and eviction court cases, prepare all case documents and coordinating with outside counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Legal Letters Received and speaking with residents/attorney – coordinating work with company's counsel
- Drafting legal notices, violation letters, ect
- Corresponding with residents and team members when legal issues are involved or when other difficult situations arise
- Reviewing Leases and legal notices
- Monitoring websites for new laws and regulations
- Managing and coordinating with outside counsel
- Working with on-site staff to collect relevant information, documents, timelines, etc. to prepare case documents
- Communicating with attorneys/adjusters for updates, resolutions, etc.
- Reviewing interrogatories, production of documents and other legal documents for accuracy
- Preparing and appearing on Small Claims cases
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
