Job description-Paint Spot Repair Technician
The Paint Spot Repair Technician will be responsible for cleaning up and repairing small, cosmetic defects in the paint job. The use of hand tools such as buffers, sanders, spray guns, and other items is required for the role. This position reports directly up to the Paint Spot Repair Team Leader in our paint shop.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Contributes to the team with continuous improvement actions.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee morale.
- Contributes with problem solving for root causes related to quality.
- Ensures safety compliance and follow all rules.
- Works with team so production targets are achieved.
- Follows written/documented processes, procedures, and activities.
- Ensure quality and operation systems are implemented and functioning per standards.
- Meets with team leads regularly to provide and obtain performance feedback. And plans according to team objectives.
- Facilitate open communication between team members.
- Actively promote teamwork and problem solving in a proactive work environment.
- Continual training will be needed.
- Manage the movement and efficiency of vehicles
- Document VIN numbers as well as repair details.
- Continually seek out opportunities to improve on efficiencies.

Qualifications/Education Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year experience with Paint Spot Repair preferred.
- Automotive collision repair experience a plus.
- Ability to repair paint defects to final completion of all facets of the process.
- Ability to use paint hand sprayers.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools (wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.)
- Ability to do light touch up paint.
- Ability to take from paint damage to full 100% completion ready to ship.
- Knowledge of manufacturer’s repair process.
- Strong Work Ethic.
- May assist with snow removal or other maintenance issues.
- Assists in the maintenance of equipment.
- May perform other duties from time to time at the direction of the Manager
- Assist in the maintenance of company vehicles.
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing disposal of hazardous wastes.
- Responsible for safety- It is everyone’s job to help in providing a safe, clean workplace for all personnel and within the regulations of local, state, and OSHA standard.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day.
- Required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels, hot and cold weather.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
