Objective: Conduct remote research into atmospheric monitoring needs in urban environments, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions for better point source distributed chemical monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature review on atmospheric monitoring techniques and challenges in urban settings.
- Design and distribute surveys/questionnaires to key stakeholders remotely.
- Analyze survey data to identify common pain points and challenges.
- Research case studies and best practices in atmospheric monitoring.
- Identify and evaluate gaps between current practices/sensors/techniques and identified needs.
- Develop proposals for improving atmospheric monitoring in urban areas.
- Present findings and recommendations virtually.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in a related field such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, environmental, earth systems, etc.
- Strong self-directed research skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in information collection and report writing/documentation.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including virtual communication tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
Duration/Pay: ~10 weeks, part-time (10-20 hours per week), flexible up to hour cap of 180 hours.
