Form of workPACS Administrator - Radiology Administration - FT/Days
SUMMARY: This position reports to the Director of Medical Imaging and is accountable for the coordination and/or management of information systems used in the areas of Medical Imaging and Cardiology services under the guidance of the PACS Administrator. Duties include assisting in the implementation, monitoring, supporting, and trouble shooting the functionality of the information systems while maintaining effective daily operations. Provides support to physicians, technologists and other medical staff in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records and statistical reporting. Testing processes through review, analysis, witnessing and certification of software. Works in collaboration with Medical Imaging, Cardiology and other departments to ensure the maintenance and integrity of the patient's imaging records and other enterprise-wide clinical systems. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the departments as well as within Information Technology. Effectively trains others in computer skills related to the various systems. Participates in the PACS on-call rotation as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two (2) years experience in Information Technology or Medical Imaging
- Minimum two (2) years experience with PACS or related technology
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of the overall workflow of either Cardiology or Medical Imaging
- Must possess the ability to effectively train others in computer skills related to the relevant systems and have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- The ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers required
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- College Degree - 4 Year in Business, Healthcare, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- CIIP - Certified Imaging Informatics Professional
- CRT - CA Radiologic Technologist License preferred
POSITION DETAILS:
- Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. Day shifts
PAY RANGE:
- $36.20 - $57.40
