The Packing Lead oversees and manages a crew of Packers to ensure finished printed materials are properly packed for shipment in accordance with customer specifications and carrier limitations. These tasks are accomplished through effective planning, organizing, directing, delegating, follow up, quality control and communication consistent to provide expected results, meeting and/or exceeding communicated Performance Metrics.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicating to their crew of job assignments for the shift.
• Providing positive feedback and constructive criticism to crew members
• Continually monitoring and ensuring the quality standards of the work of the crew members and providing ongoing training as needed.
• Anticipating needs or problems of the assigned packing jobs and taking the necessary action to ensure on time shipping goals are met.
• Identifying all behavior that may be a violation of company policy and reporting the issues on a priority basis to the Manager.
• Taking an active role in leading by example in all phases of packing, training and adherence to the department standard.
• Obtaining and sorting all necessary documents pertaining to the assigned job
• Inspecting materials, products and containers at each step in the packing process
• Actively working with crew members in a hands-on role in all phases of the job.
• Relaying information to the Manager regarding the crew's performance and individual productivity, and recommending changes when needed.
• Completing the QC Log
  
• Completing Shipping Label
• Completing Bindery

Requirements:

• Prior Team Lead experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos as well as write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, managers and other employees in the organization.
• Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills are required
  
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Hours

First shift: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Second shift: Monday-Friday 12pm-8:30pm

Pay

$16-$18/hr
