Packaging Operator

Job Functions:

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates labelers, conveyors, or presses.
• Inspects product for quality and reports any variance from standard.
• Operates electrical and mechanical controls as necessary to start, stop, and feed product supplies.
• Maintains levels in oil and performs routine lubrication as directed for proper machine operation.
• Keeps machines clean and in good condition.
• Performs minor adjustments and repairs.
• Assists mechanic(s) in major repairs.
• Assists in clearing stoppage of flow of cans in any part of can manufacturing line.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to work either 2nd shift or 3rd shift.
• May be required to do other duties related to the job.
• Operates under conditions set forth by Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Observes all Federal, State, Company, and Plant environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations and procedures.
