FOAM EXTRUSION OPERATOR

DESCRIPTION

Foam Extrusion Operator is also a Team leader. The team leader will direct, coach, and teach as required to accomplish the objectives of good manufacturing practices.

In the absence of supervisory personnel, a Team Leader is responsible for the plant safety and security. At all times, the Foam Extrusion Operator is directly responsible for process safety, product quality, extruding at the manufacturing standard rate, yield plus assisting in the development and optimization of the manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

• Operate machines that extrude foam products to exact specifications.
• Quality inspection of extruded products for defects.
• Understand and participate in the company PSM.
• Always maintain a clean and safe working atmosphere.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.

REQUIREMENTS

• HS education with 3 years of experience in a manufacturing atmosphere
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively on independent projects and as a member or leader of a team.

REPORTING

This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
