McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Packaging Operator position, to work a 12-hour night shift at the Burley, Idaho plant.

Packaging Operator is responsible for performing all equipment and general operator functions within the Packaging Area. When specific operator functions are not assigned, incumbent is responsible for ensuring all assigned factory equipment and work areas are continuously clean and sanitary.

A successful candidate must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training. Preferred: One-year certificate from a college or technical school.

• Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Must have ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Required to complete certification through the Operator Training Program.
