Basic Job Functions: The Packaging Machine Operator will operate or tend machines to prepare products for storage or shipment. They are responsible for taking the finished product of a manufacturing process and ensuring that it is packaged in line with company and industry standards, making it ready for sale or distribution. Report labor ticket and transfer quantities in ERP system: Clock in and out of the ERP system to record start and ending information as well as quantities completed. Print required production tags and place the tag on correct completed skid. Complete Daily Shift Requirements: Complete daily maintenance log.
Complete required logs: Fill out the Packaging Production Tracking Log. Decontaminate work area: Before starting new work order all unnecessary product from previous work order must be put away correctly. Preform part changeovers as needed: Remove/replace/adjust machine parts required for change overs based on length and or family part.
Ensure 1st Piece Approvals are completed: Complete portion of checks noted on work order traveler and ensure quality completion of the 1st piece prior to continual operations.
