Since the acquisition, BrightPet increased capacity by 135%. The facility also has light manufacturing capabilities for care products.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00 am to 6:30 pm (work all 36 hours, paid for 40 hours)
Job Summary: A Packaging Machine Operator (PMO) is responsible for operating the machines used to package products. They must ensure that the packaging is done according to company and food safety standards. PMO must pay meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to troubleshoot minor problems, adjust production lines, and monitor all fill processes.
Essential Functions:
- Completes all start up procedures for the Packaging Machine equipment.
- Responsible for initial stocking of the line prior to start up and maintaining the stock levels throughout the run.
- Verify that the inkjet printers for each line are running properly and request repairs when necessary.
- Brings in all new order materials.
- Perform routine checks to ensure the machine is in an operable state.
- Ensures correct packaging is used for specific product.
- Fill hopper with finished product.
- Fill tubs and bags according to weight while checking product for quality standards.
- Gather samples from each production run and give them to the Quality Control department.
- Weigh product every hour to verify proper product weights are being placed in containers.
- Test metal detectors on each line every hour.
- Prepare and print shipping labels for shipping boxes.
- Work on the line as needed to fill in for other personnel.
- Inspection of final products.
- Follow GMP’s; model employee in attendance, attitude, leadership.
- Shut down and clean the line at the end of each day.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to regularly bend and stoop while working.
- Must be able to repetitively lift a maximum of 50 lbs. waist high and over the shoulder.
- Must be able to operate powered industrial vehicles for materials movement.
- Must be able to follow work instructions, effectively communicate information to co-workers and management, and write legibly.
- Must be able to comprehend the various phases of the position.
- Must be able to complete simple math problems.
- Must have good dexterity.
Specific Requirements:
- Must be able to effectively work and interact in a team environment.
- Assist other personnel to accomplish tasks throughout their assigned shift.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Manufacturing environment with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Work environment may be dusty.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
