Forming part of the Biotechnology segment at Danaher, we bring together dedicated technical expertise and talent to develop the next generation of life-changing therapeutics.

The Packaging Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for developing, designing, and implementing packaging solutions for our bioprocess products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure that our products are packaged in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise in packaging design, materials selection, and testing will contribute to the success of our product development and commercialization efforts.

This position is part of the Cell Culture Product Operations Team located in Logan, Utah, and will be on-site. Relocation is available for this role. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Develop innovative packaging designs and concepts that align with product requirements, regulatory guidelines, and customer expectations.

+ Select appropriate packaging materials, considering factors such as product compatibility, stability, sterility, cost, and environmental impact.

+ Perform packaging testing, including performance testing, transportation testing, and shelf-life studies, to validate packaging integrity and product protection.

+ Develop and implement packaging specifications, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

+ Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to packaging in the bioprocess field.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field.

+ 2+ years of experience working as a Packaging Engineer in the biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry is preferred; a highly regulated industry is required.

+ Strong knowledge of packaging design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.

+ Proficiency in packaging software and tools (e.g., CAD, CAE, SolidWorks, or similar).

+ Experience with packaging validation and testing methods, including ASTM standards and ISTA protocols.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Industry regulations and guidelines, such as FDA, ISO, and cGMP.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
