OVERNIGHT RESIDENTIAL ASSISTANT
Summary/Objective
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and logistical support to Space Camp operations.
Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions

- Answering Space Camp customer phone calls, providing information/escalating customer concerns.
- Creating and maintaining Camp administrative paperwork.
- Supporting the Space Camp programs check-in/ check-out process.
- Data collection and report formatting.
Supervisory Responsibilities No
Required Education and Experience
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Technical Experience: Must be able to use a 101-key keyboard and possess knowledge of DOS and Windows-based operating systems. Must be proficient with Microsoft WORD and Excel.
Preferred Education and Experience
Preferred 1 year of work experience in an administrative position or related field.
Work Environment/Physical Demands Summary
This position has the following special requirements:
- Walking and climbing (stairs) to access other departments and buildings.
- Sitting for long periods (4-6 hours) operating computer terminal, operating telephone, and handling documents.
- Carrying and lifting supplies and boxes weighing up to 25 pounds to waist height.
- Bending, kneeling, reaching to store & retrieve supplies,
- Sight, reading, wrist movements, feeling to operate computer terminal, handle documents, and sort mail.
- Talking and hearing to communicate with supervisor(s), employees, guests, and trainees who interact with assigned areas of responsibility.
- This position involves working in a climate-controlled office environment.
- This position interacts extensively with guests and trainees & parents in person and over the telephone.
- This position will involve evening and weekend hours.
