Overnight Client Care Specialist - Port City

Job Title: Full-Time Overnight Client Care Specialist at a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Veterinary Hospital
Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital (part of the Ethos Veterinary Health company) is located in Portsmouth, NH, and we are looking to hire a Full-time highly motivated Overnight Client Care Specialist (Receptionist) to join our team.

About the Role: Our Client Care Specialists are responsible for welcoming all guests according to company standards. Our team must anticipate and address client's service needs, and communicate professionally, effectively and with empathy. Client Care Specialists need to be able to work in a fast pace multi-doctor/department practice with the ability to handle several tasks at hand. This role represents an exciting opportunity for the motivated, highly trained Client Care Specialist that is seeking an exciting and challenging position dedicated to quality patient care. This position requires you to be self-motivated and be able to differentiate between major and minor issues as they relate to clients and patients.
Responsibilities:

• Greeting clients and patients at check-in
• Maintaining open lines of communication with clients, co-workers, and team members throughout the hospital
• Assisting with general information regarding Port City's services and practices
• Directing appointments
• Processing payments and refunds
• Assisting clients in applying for lines of credit (Care Credit and/or Wells Fargo Health Advantage)
• Answering phones
• Filling medications, and monitoring the pharmacy voicemail
• Scheduling appointments, rechecks, and procedures
• Submitting Pet Insurance Claims on behalf of clients
• Empathy and understanding during end of life decisions
• Monitoring multiple communication platforms simultaneously with the practice management software
• Obtaining patient updates for clients
• Ensuring clients complete all necessary paperwork, and answering any questions about the paperwork
• Updating patient and client accounts

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in, and passion for, delivering exemplary client service.
• You will embody our culture by treating every client with the utmost courtesy and attention, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between clients and their pets.
• Proven effective communication and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills that highlight your ability to provide a positive, friendly, and welcoming environment at all times.
• Superior interpersonal skills and be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Support team members in reaching common goals.
• Listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of clients and team members.
• Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist, medical secretary, or customer service representative strongly preferred.
• Ability to be flexible in your schedule.
• Have a fundamental knowledge of Windows-based computer programs.
• Ability to recognize and seek guidance in all client-related cases where protocol does not apply.

Schedule: Second to Third Shift Hours; Weekend required; 3 holiday shifts a year required
About Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital: PCVRH is a full-service hospital that offers comprehensive care that includes 24-hour Emergency Services, and Specialty Medicine Services in the areas of Ophthalmology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Radiology and Cardiology. We will be adding Neurology in 2024, as well as moving to our new building!
