Slakey’s Sales Academy is an immersive 6-month Sales Training Program designed to set you up for success in your sales career with us! Paid training with a starting pay range $22-$32 per hour based on HVAC, Plumbing, and Sales experience.
Sales Academy Training will include job shadows of the following departments to build a solid foundation of expertise on our products, processes, preparing you to provide top notch service to our Customers:

• Operations – learn about Slakey’s product lines and work with our Warehouse Team Members to understand our systems, logistics and supply chain management
• Inside Sales – work with our Branch Team learning how they serve our Customer's product needs through education and customer service
• Corporate Team – you will also visit Marketing, Purchasing, Pricing, and Commercial Teams
• Outside Sales – build relationships with our existing Customers
• Regional Sales – your Regional Manager will be your coach providing you with training and resources to support your customers and grow your territory

Skills and Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year college degree in technical studies or equivalent work experience preferred
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must have a driver’s valid license and clean driving record
• Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
• Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy
• Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency
• Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Able to operate a personal computer, calculator, other office machines, and proficient in
• For Outside Sales positions, ability to travel as required with extended overnight stays
