Position Overview:
Patriot Freight Group is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify and secure new business opportunities within the oil & gas, construction, and manufacturing sectors. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate leads to identify new business opportunities within the target industries, focusing on companies that require full truckload freight services.
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to effectively penetrate the market and achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at prospective client organizations, understanding their transportation needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, and leverage this knowledge to differentiate Patriot Freight Group and position our services effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and logistics, to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery of services to new accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contracts, highlighting the value proposition of Patriot Freight Group and addressing the specific needs of prospective clients.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing agreements with clients, maximizing profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Track sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline progress using CRM software, and provide regular updates and forecasts to management.
  • Represent Patriot Freight Group at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand your professional network and promote our brand.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or freight industry.
  • Strong understanding of the oil & gas, construction, and manufacturing industries, including supply chain dynamics, transportation challenges, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and goal-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for managing leads, contacts, and sales activities.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
