Under general supervision, to help support and grow our business in the Houston market. Metals industrial experience with a proven record of accomplishment of successful new business development is highly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:
- New account development and prospecting
- Increasing share at existing accounts
- New product introduction
- Effectively communicate EMS’ distinct proficiencies
- Margin improvement initiatives
- Suggestions for adding new inventory items
- Prepare and present pricing and proposals to customers
- Maintaining computer records as to customers volume, usage and competitive feedback
- Effective time and territory management for traveling
Qualifications:
- Clean driving record free of DWI's or other major convictions such as careless and reckless driving, hit and run, etc. over the past 5 years is necessary!
- Must be willing to sign our standard non-compete agreement.
- Four-year college degree is preferred
- Prior Outside Sales experience is required
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize duties: Detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong math skills are required
