Description:
Mahan's Thermal Products is looking for an Outside Sales Representative who can increase company sales and profits by establishing new and maintaining current customer accounts by regularly calling on and servicing the accounts. Accounts include contractors, industrial facilities, wholesalers, facility managers, and engineering firms.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all sales related activities for assigned territory. This includes all functions from product quotation, sizing equipment, factory interaction, and after sale service.
- Obtain & report job/quotation follow up information in a timely manner.
- Seek to close open jobs/quotations in a timely manner.
- Provide design and application assistance to all accounts and other JMP personnel according to industry and factory information.
- Utilize Mahan’s and outside resources in a manner to obtain maximum value.
- Maintain call reports, job follow up information, customer databases, expense records and other sales related documents as requested by management.
- Attend product training and system application classes at factories.
- Assist other Mahan’s personnel in sales, marketing, and engineering as needed.
- Conduct one’s self in an ethical manner at all times
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical systems understanding
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Office products, email, and internet)
- Ability to self-motivate and drive sales
- Understanding of heat exchangers
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license in the United State
Educational Requirements:
- 4-year college degree (Engineering or Technical Field preferred) or equivalent work experience.
