Outside Sales Representative

A 60,000+square foot plant and office facility provides fully engineered products for building systems to the midwest region with great customer support, low cost, and quick delivery time.

Serving agriculture, commercial and residential builders, contractors, and developers.

Summary:

The outside truss salesman will be responsible for sales of wood trusses and wall panels. Customer service will be the backbone for Black Tie Components ensuring that all clients have product delivered that was asked for.

The pay range for this position is base pay plus commission, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales and meet objectives through creating a performance driven team
• Ability to work across business units, sales and operations.
• Ability to understand plan, set goals and drive team for results
• Prepare sales forecasts.
• Ability to discuss product functionality, product technology and counter questions regarding competitive solutions.
• Ongoing sales training and coaching within the sales team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience
• 3+ years of manufacturing sales experience
• Detail orientated, customer focus, information seeking, willingness to learn, enjoy fast paced team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
• Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%

• Talk and hear, read, write understand and communicate by telephone
• Regular use of hands for feeling, grasping or manipulating objects, tools, or controls. Occasional using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
