Outside Processing Coordinator

Position Title:Outside Processing Coordinator - Manufacturing

Principal Manufacturing is seeking an Outside Processing Coordinator to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition.

This position will be responsible for communicating with suppliers on order delivery. Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another. Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay. Receives products and coordinates delivery. Prepares loads for shipment. Schedule PMC drivers and customer vehicles for delivery and pick-up of parts.

Coordinates with Shipping Department on delivery times.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate with production and customer relations/sales.
• Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another.
• Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay.
• Receives products and coordinates delivery.
• Prepares loads for shipment.
• Help support quality issue resolution.
• Must attend all production planning meetings.
• Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels.
• Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
• Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles.
• Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible.
• Streamlines shipping and transportation processes.
• Maintain or verify records of time, materials, expenditures, and crew activities.
• Develop and train team members.
• OP supplier report cards
• Track premium freight and other OP KPI

Requirements:

• 2 years degree required, experience in purchasing and transportation.
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft office i.e., of Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of customer specifications and finishing processes.
• Decision making ability.
• Organizational skills.
• Practical mindset
• Ability to priorities
• Associates Degree or related on-the-job experience
