Outside Machinist

360 is looking for an experienced Outside Machinist. With at least one year working in a ship repair environment and two other years of experience in Portland as an industrial machinist .
Must be capable of performing preventative maintenance (general mechanic work) that includes working on Bandsaws, gas welders, Shears, etc. Also understand what fluids work with what machine. Must be able to identify parts that need to be replaced (spark plugs, filters, fuses, etc). Must be comfortable doing overhauls of shipboard equipment, have disassembly experience and know what to look for while inspected ship. Could be working on any shipboard equipment like ventilation louvers, steam turbines, electrical slip rings, winches, pumps, globes, valves, cylinders, swing drives, hoses, etc. Must be comfortable do some rigging but using chains, wire chokers, clamps, skates, come-alongs, etc. Crane signal experience is highly preferred but not required. Must be able to read manuals, be comfortable working in confined spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Locals only No Per Diem
Two (2+) years of relevant marine experience preferred.
